SWISSPACER and Planitherm held an open day on Wednesday 11th September to give tips on selling energy rated windows and unveil SWISSPACER’s new energy-calculating Caluwin app.
Visitors were able to see the Caluwin app in action. Caluwin lets users calculate U-values and WER ratings on sales pitches to show homeowners how much money they will save. Quick and easy to use, the app is free to download and allows window companies to change components and compare windows for energy efficiency.
John Berry, Profine UK Technical Services Manager said: “The Caluwin app is brilliant – it’s very user-friendly and is a great tool for calculating thermal efficiency. It’s definitely something our customers would use and I’m going to recommend it to them.”
Ann Horan of The London Sash Window Company also attended the open day. Ann was so impressed with Caluwin that she downloaded the app there and then: “This is going to be really useful on sales pitches. Homeowners often ask if there’s any difference between single glazing and double glazing. The Caluwin app will let us show them the difference in energy savings and reductions in heating bills.”
Karl-Theo Roes, SWISSPACER Market Development Manager added: “It’s been great to get such positive feedback for our new Caluwin app. Today’s open day, held at the Saint Gobain Innovation Centre was a great opportunity for window companies to see the app in practice and find out more about SWISSPACER and Planitherm.”
Caluwin is free to download now on iTunes for iPads and iPhones.
